My scientific interests are in understanding the signalling molecules and pathways that regulate platelet function, thrombosis an haemostasis, and how these pathways impact both health and disease. In addition to their roles in the maintenance of thrombosis and haemostasis, platelets have been identified to have many wide-ranging roles, both in health and disease, including in inflammation, development of atherosclerosis and cancer progression. My research aims to understand the role platelets play in pathological conditions which is essential for the identification of drug targets, development of anti-platelet therapy and repurposing of drugs for the treatment of CVD and other diseases.
