We’re a physiotherapy clinic run by Manchester Metropolitan University. We offer a range of treatments, and we’re a skilled team with specialist academic knowledge and years of experience.
The Manchester Movement Unit (formerly known as ‘The Clinic’) is a new, state-of-the-art physiotherapy clinic based in the Brooks building on the University’s Manchester campus. Even though our physiotherapy clinic is based in a university building, we’re open to everyone.
Our academic knowledge forms the basis of our treatments at the Manchester Movement Unit, and we offer evidence-based treatments to help our patients get better quicker. Our expert physiotherapy team includes Senior Lecturers at Manchester Met, who are highly trained health professionals. As well as many years of clinical experience, our team are up-to-date with current research and new developments in their fields. This helps to make sure that you receive cutting-edge treatments, supported by the best available evidence.
We have a wealth of experience in assessing and treating a wide range of problems, from sports injuries to stress-related conditions.
We can help with a wide range of conditions and problems, including sports injuries, headaches, depression, back pain, and muscle and joint problems. We can treat neurological problems, such as Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and stroke, as well as vestibular disorders, including vertigo.
At your first appointment with the Manchester Movement Unit, we’ll go through your problems and then we’ll create a tailored treatment plan with you.
We pride ourselves on offering a professional, caring and highly skilled service and we’re committed to helping ensure you meet your goals. We’ll be honest and open with you so that you can understand your problem and how the treatment will help.
