The vast majority of our chemistry degree courses are accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry. Upon successful completion of the degree course, your qualification can be used in part fulfilment for associate membership of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
Our Ecology and Conservation, Environmental Science and Environmental Management and Sustainability degrees are professionally accredited by the Institute of Environmental Sciences (IES) which represents professionals from fields as diverse as air quality, land contamination and education, and wherever environmental work is underpinned by robust science.
Our Ecology and Conservation course is accredited and our Environmental Science and Environmental management and Sustainability courses also have pathways accredited by the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM), the leading professional membership body representing and supporting ecologists and environmental managers in the UK, Ireland and abroad.
We also have strong links with the Institute of Place Management (IPM) and our students can apply for free membership in their final year. Many of our academic staff are members of Professional Bodies such as those mentioned above, as well as the Royal Society of Biology (RSB), the Royal Geographical Society (RGS), and the American Chemical Society (ACS).
