I am a professional Aerospace Engineer with a track record in academia with diverse knowledge of applied materials and structural engineering. At the moment, I am appointed as a Research Associate at Manchester Metropolitan University and working on a project: 3D printed tanks for onboard cryogenic storage of liquefied natural gas (LNG). The industrial partner of this project is CryoFuel Tank Systems Ltd. Additionally, I am teaching level 5 Kinetics.
I have received BEng in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire in 2012. I obtained my PhD from the same University working on fatigue crack growth assessment and fatigue resistance enhancement of aluminium alloys in 2018.
Additionally, I have completed the full Continuing Professional Academic Development (CPAD) programme (2018) accredited by the Higher Education Academy (HEA) with PGCert in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education.
Prior to this current appointment, I have had five years teaching experience and of which four years include offering assessments, marking, providing feedback and supporting student learning as a Visiting Lecturer of Aerospace Engineering and Materials & Electrical Technology, respectively at the University of Hertfordshire.
My area of expertise includes materials and structures, fatigue, advanced materials processing using electromagnetic treatment, fracture mechanics, carbon composites, computer-aided design (CAD), finite element analysis (FEA) and 3D printing.
