I am a lecturer in Mechanical Engingeering at Manchester Metropolitan University.
My research interests are at the interaction between engineering and mechanics with biology and physiology.
My current work focuses on whiskers, trying to understand how their shape and structure affects their performance as tactile sensors and how different whiskers might be adapted for specific environmental niches.
