The Future of Work – speech and panel debate

You are invited to the first in a series of high profile, high impact lectures hosted jointly by Grant Thornton and the University to create stronger bonds with the business community and to position the University as engaged in thought leadership in new business thinking.

Join us to hear Matthew Taylor, Chief Executive of the Royal Society of the Arts, who has just led a UK government review of employment practices, deliver a major perspective on the future of work before an expert panel of North West business leaders and academics discusses the theme.

The event takes place on Thursday November 16 at the Business School between 6pm and 8pm.

Following Matthew’s speech there will be a panel debate, to be chaired by Michael Taylor, the former editor of North West Business Insider and now External Affairs Advisor at the University.

The panel will include:

Herb Kim, founder and CEO of Thinking Digital
Adam Butwilowski, CiiVSOFT
Sue Bagguley, Director of Strategy at Siemens Digital Factory and Process Industries and Drives
Professor Julia Clarke, Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University’s Business School
Karen Campbell-Williams, Tax Partner at Grant Thornton North West
The event is one of three keynote debates about how we can work together to create a vibrant economy.
