The Manchester Writing School at Manchester Met invites you to an evening of poetry and music in the Royal Exchange Studio, hosted by Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy.

Following the unprecedented success of the past seasons, Carol Ann returns to host our hugely successful poetry readings. Joining Carol Ann are new writers from Manchester Met - including our House Poets John Fennelly and Mark Pajak - and a variety of special guests offering more evenings of jazz, poetry and conversation.

Kate Fox mostly describes herself as a stand up poet. She’s regularly commissioned by Radio 3’s The Verb, has been Poet in Residence for Radio 4’s Saturday Live, the Glastonbury Festival, the Great North Run and the BBC’s Contains Strong Language Festival in Hull and has been published by Smokestack and Burning Eye Books. She’s made two comedy series for Radio 4 and in spring 2019 will be touring her show about Northern women Where There’s Muck There’s Bras, which was commissioned by the Great Exhibition of the North. www.katefox.co.uk
