Teaching Awards 2018
Celebrating excellent teaching

Hosted by The Union and now in its eighth year, the Teaching Awards celebrates excellent teaching at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Every year, students take the time to share their stories about the individuals and teams who go out of their way to make their learning experience the best it can be.

All six faculties have made it on to this year’s shortlists, featuring 51 exceptional nominees from across the University. Over 760 students nominated their excellent individuals and teams this year. Students praised staff for "constructive feedback", "phenomenal support" and "inspirational teaching". There are ten awards, ranging from Teacher of the Year to Outstanding Teaching for Employability, with supervisors and personal tutors also recognised.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at The Union on Thursday 24 May, which is open to all staff and students at the University to attend.

Entries were judged anonymously against set criteria by a panel of students, Student Officers and representatives from the University’s Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching.
