North West Film Archive video shows a 1958 coach trip to Soviet Moscow #AnatomyofaWorldCup

This remarkable North West Film Archive footage shows a 1958 coach trip to the Soviet Union.

Among the sights in Moscow is the Luzhniki Stadium, the centrepiece of the 2018 World Cup and home to the final on July 15th.

The stadium - formerly known as the Central Lenin Stadium - was built in 1956 to meet the growing demands for USSR sporting success.

It was the main venue for the 1980 Olympics, and is remembered fondly by Manchester United supporters as the venue of their 2008 Champions League victory.
