Safety update

Greater Manchester Police are continuing to investigate several serious attacks in the underpass at Cambridge Street/Higher Cambridge Street roundabout under the Mancunian Way.

The safety and wellbeing of our University community is of utmost importance, and therefore, we strongly advise colleagues and students to stop using this route until further notice.

While the police investigate, we recommend you use an alternative route, for example along Oxford Road through the main campus to reach SODA, the Students’ Union or Birley.

We are actively working with the police to support the investigation into the incidents and will also be working with local authorities on safety measures in that area.
