Welcome to Masters study in the Faculty of Education! We provide a comprehensive range of Masters awards in academic and subject-specialist, professionally qualifying, interdisciplinary and inter/multi-professional areas of study, and more.

Our portfolio of awards includes both full and part-time Masters awards, and we welcome applications from a diversity of students – international students from around the world, from leaders and practitioners in education seeking substantive professional development and career opportunities, from those progressing on from undergraduate study, and many others.

For 2016 we have reviewed our full suite of Masters-level programmes, built on existing strengths, extended the number of Masters courses we offer, and introduced some innovations and enhancements.

Full-time Masters

Our flagship full-time Masters suite offers study in a research and practice-rich environment, in an international city. The awards are particularly suitable for those progressing on from undergraduate degree programmes, for international students, for those wishing to enhance their employability, and for those wishing to work towards PhD. It is possible to take these awards part-time (over 2-3 years) but, in both cases, teaching takes place primarily on weekday day times.

Part-time Masters

The Professional Development Programme (PDP) in the Faculty of Education is our extensive suite of part-time Masters (and Masters level) awards, specifically designed for busy leaders, professionals and practitioners in education and adjacent areas.

We offer practitioners the most comprehensive portfolio of Masters awards in education outside London, including specialist and more generic Masters, and some awards that include professional accreditation. Our students make up a dynamic and forward-thinking taught postgraduate community over 1000-strong, involved in new thinking, knowledge generation, and research for practice (and practice innovations).
