We’ve designed our courses to develop the clinical and academic skills of doctors, physiotherapists, nurses, and professionals working in the health, community, and social sectors.

Masters in Medicine

Our Masters in Medicine courses allow you to continue to study and practice, helping you to make better-informed and less time-pressured choices about your future career. Whether you’re just beginning your career or are an experienced practitioner, you’ll have the opportunity to gain academic recognition for the clinical work you’ve completed.

We have established masters courses in Sport and Exercise Medicine as well as a flexible online Masters in Emergency Medicine. Integrated Community Healthcare and Leadership is a new part-time course, responding to the evolving health and social care devolution landscape. Our new part-time masters degree in Perioperative Medicine supports anaesthetists approaching consultant level to become perioperative specialists.

Healthcare Science

Healthcare science involves accurate and timely diagnosis to support clinical management and treatment decisions; in research, this may be advancing knowledge and development of analytical techniques and treatments.

By building expert knowledge and skills, you’ll open doors to a range of career opportunities both in the  UK and across the world. Wherever you see your future in healthcare science, our courses can equip you for a career full of impact.

Postgraduate research degrees

We offer a variety of research options for both experienced and inexperienced researchers. The programmes available to medical doctors are designed to offer flexibility to suit your current situation. Whether you are an experienced researcher or have yet to start publishing, we have various pathways to the completion of a PhD and the academic expertise within the University to enable you to do so.

I'm really grateful for the help from Manchester Met in turning my publications into a PhD thesis and would recommend anyone in a similar position to get in touch to discuss their potential proposal.
