Join Manchester Metropolitan University in celebrating diversity and equality in our city as part of the Manchester Pride Parade 2018.
Manchester Pride Parade 2018 is taking place on Saturday 25 August and it’s set to be the greatest show on earth, with this year’s theme of ‘Circus of Acceptance’.
Every year, tens of thousands of spectators fill the streets to enjoy the brightly decorated floats and lots of flamboyant walkers, as they weave their way throughout the heart of Manchester’s city centre proudly marching together in support of LGBT+ communities.
Manchester Metropolitan is #McrMetProud of its diverse community of staff, students and alumni, and we’re looking forward to taking part in the Manchester Pride Parade for the sixth consecutive year and we want you to get involved.
Being part of the Parade is certainly something you will never forget and you’ll make lots of new friends whilst celebrating the LGBT+ community in Manchester.
The Parade is one of the much-loved elements of the Manchester Pride Festival, which takes place on Friday 24 – Monday 27 August 2018. There’s so many ways to celebrate LGBT+ life throughout this award-winning weekend, including live music and entertainment, the Candlelight Vigil and Superbia.
Manchester Pride are one of the leading LGBT+ charities in the UK that challenges discrimination and empowers LGBT+ community groups and causes in Greater Manchester.
So what are you waiting for? Sign up to join us on the float today and celebrate in style. (Everything you need to know about the day is on the sign up page).
If you have any ideas on how we should decorate our float – we would love to hear from you. Send your ideas to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Whatever your identity, age or ability, make sure you get involved and show that you’re #McrMetProud!
