The QuietManDave Prize offers sponsored entry for those who wouldn’t otherwise be able to participate, and also the option to sponsor an entry for someone else.
As the QuietManDave Prize is designed to encourage new writing and to discover and celebrate new writers we want to ensure that everyone who wants to take part is able to do so. We are offering a number of sponsored entries to those who might not otherwise be able to participate. If you would like to sponsor an entrant, you can visit our Online Shop and pay for an entry fee (or entry fees – however many you want to add to your basket). We are very grateful for all of the support given to new writers and entrants of the Prize through sponsorship, and for the generous contributions to and support for the writing community. Thank you!
Please note that sponsorship is anonymous, so we will not share or publicise anyone’s sponsoring of an entry, and we would not share or publicise which entrant anyone’s contribution has supported. Sponsorship of entries is not refundable.
The 2020 QuietManDave Prize is now closed to entries. Long-listed entrants will be contacted by Friday 11th September 2020. If you have any queries, visit our FAQs and Contact page or sign-up for the Manchester Writing School mailing list for all the latest updates.
A limited number of sponsored entries are available to writers who might not otherwise be able to take part in the 2020 QuietManDave Prize. If you would like to apply for one of these, please contact email@example.com to register your interest and for further details. The deadline for expressions of interest in sponsored entry is 16th April 2020.
From the Terms and Conditions of entry: Applicants [for sponsored entry] will be asked to provide details of eligibility, and may be asked to submit documentary evidence. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by email within 28 days of submission of any requested information or evidence. The deadline for expressions of interest in reduced price entry is 16th April 2020. Applications for reduced price entry will no longer be considered after that date, or when all available sponsored entries have been allocated. Applications for reduced price entry will be considered by the Prize administrative team whose decisions are final, and no correspondence about their decisions will be entered into. Manchester Met reserves the right to not grant reduced price entry, if, in their opinion, such action is justified for any reason.
