Vice Chancellor participates in first annual Institute of Coding Conference

The Institute of Coding that Professor Malcolm Press agreed to participate as a panelist for their Degree Apprenticeships Post 2020 discussion

The Institute of Coding, of which Manchester Met is a founding partner hosted their first annual conference this week after launching just over 12 months ago.

Over 200 representatives from Academia, Industry and Outreach organisations gathered to hear the progress that has been made against addressing the UK's digital skills gap.

The Vice Chancellor, Malcolm Press is a member of the Institute of Apprenticeships board and a keen advocate of degree apprenticships so the IoC was delighted he accepted an invitation to participate in an panel discussion on Degree Apprenticeships Post 2020.

Other panelists included Manchester Met degree apprentice Chole Hodgeson, Global Head of Apprenticeships at Barclays Claire Findlay, Deputy Director for the Department of Education Claire Bonson and Director of Employee Relationships at Tech Partnership Degrees Bob Clift.
