The Centre for Mathematical Modelling and Flow Analysis (CMMFA) has been established for over 20 years and is based in the School of Computing, Mathematics and Digital Technology at Manchester Metropolitan University.

The CMMFA undertakes research in the area of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and specialises in the development and application of computational hydraulics and aerodynamics.

Our past and on-going projects, which are mainly funded by the EPSRC with support from industry, are primarily concerned with the following applications:

The CMMFA is the only UK university research group involved as Investigators and project partners in both SUPERGEN WIND and SUPERGEN MARINE programmes, and currently is one of the lead partners of the EPSRC Collaborative Computational Project in Wave Structure Interaction (CCP-WSI) consortium and a partner of the new UK Fluid Network (UKFN).

We welcome opportunities for new collaborative projects in the above or other closely related areas.
