I am passionate about sport and have a lifetime involved in it!
As a youngster, my main sport was swimming and I achieved national-level as a sprint breastroker for Camden Swiss Cottage Swimming Club in North London. I also represented my school and/ or university in swimming, cross country, football, cricket and rugby union.
I like to keep fit, follow Man U (for my sins), enjoy good food and I like historical documentaries and travelling abroad.
I am married with three children and two grand children.
I teach to make a positive difference to the world.
I do this by endeavouring, through my work, to support all students to fulfil their potential in and through sport.
By facilatating students to strive to be the best they can be, others can also benefit through the development of existing and the creation of new quality opportunities.

Sport, in all its forms (such as physical activity, PE, exercise, recreation, training and competition) has the capacity to develop and elevate the individual in so many ways. For example: physically, psychologically, technically, emotionally, socially and culturally.
Sport also has the potential to build national pride through the success of our ahletes and teams; and to faciliate society become more inclusive, healthier and better educated. It can help reduce crime and anti-social behaviour, regenerate communities and promote tourism.
Involvement too can take on numerous forms. As a participant/ performer, PE teacher, leader, coach, volunteer, official, administrator, manager, spectator, sports scientist/ medic, development officer, educator, politician, policy-maker, writer/ broadcaster.....
