A new dance work in which performers delve inside a motor neurone to explain how scientists think they work. The performance combines a unique mix of contemporary, urban dance and martial arts. It opens with an athletic display of different sports and movement styles. This develops into an interactive science section for audiences to join in and enjoy, that will explain how the brain initiates movement, eventually inviting the audience to step inside a neurone and enact an action potential. In the final section the established dance artists will illustrate the relevance of this neurological research in the battle against the devastating disease MND (Motor Neurone Disease). This incorporates how MND affects the body and the impact on those living with this devastating disease and their families.
