What do you like most about your course?

I adore studying humanities, as the study of people is so diverse and throws up so much intriguing information. I feel at home studying topics where there isn’t necessarily a right or wrong answer and that events are open to interpretation through the lenses of different scholars. I also enjoy the relevancy of each of my courses, I often find myself in my personal life saying “oh, I’ve just been discussing that this week in class.”

What skills do you feel you have gained during your studies at Man Met?

Manchester Met has helped me to develop unbelievably. My confidence in my abilities has increased dramatically and I now feel able to tackle most things. I’ve also become a much more accomplished academic and can produce pieces of work which are well written, researched and referenced.

Have you completed a placement?

I flew out to Australia in June and I am studying at the Deakin University in Melbourne.  My study abroad year has allowed me to experience another culture and has also provided me with inspiration for my dissertation.
