Dr. Amani Yousef Owda is a Tutor in Electrical Engineering in the School of Engineering, at Manchester Metropolitan University. She gained a BEng in Electrical Engineering from Birzeit University in 2007, and an MSc in Communication Engineering with distinction and within the top 5 students from The University of Manchester in 2013 and a Ph.D in Electrical Engineering in 2018 from Manchester Metropolitan University. In the MSc Amani concentrated on the Low Noise Amplifier Design with a thesis titled "Reconfigurable Multiband MMIC Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs) for Wireless Communications". In her Ph.D research, she worked on the medical applications of microwave and millimeter wave imaging.
Her main research interests are; Medical Applications of Microwave and Millimetre-Wave Imaging, Security Screening and Anomalies Detection, Radar Systems Reflectivity Measurements, Passive Sensing and Imaging (Radiometric Measurements), Electromagnetics Modelling and Simulations, Circuits Design, Digital Filters Design & Implementation, Low Noise Amplifier Design, Wireless Communications, Developments of Analogue and Digital Modulations Techniques, Sensors.
I am currently teaching in the areas of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
