Following his success at the Rio Paralympic Games 2016, Mark received the Para Coaching Award of Excellence.
Megan Jones coaches the swim team alongside coaching with CoMAST.
The club can access up to 28 hours of training in conjunction with the CoMAST swim teams at Manchester Aquatics Centre.
This years Swimming scholars
British Para Swimming have already agreed in principle to our Memorandum of Understanding and we are already working collaboratively through academic input, student athletes at the university, flexible study arrangements, cooperation in CPD work for staff and more.
Aligned with our ambitions of becoming a ‘go to’ university for elite athletes who want to commit to a dual career option, we have been working with British Swimming to ensure that this fits both our programmes.
Elite level swimmers are invited to train with CoMAST whilst attending Manchester Met (up to 20 hours of training available a week).
Swim England has agreed that the CoMAST / Manchester Met partnership is to become the first Swim England Performance Centre.
