Sport volunteering

You don't have to be studying sport to become a sport volunteer. Whether you enjoy helping out, want to meet friends, try something different or develop your leadership skills, we have plenty of amazing opportunities waiting for you to get involved.

Our reward and recognition scheme allows you to build up your hours and work towards benefits such as a free tshirt and leadership workshops.

Sport is the single biggest sector of volunteering in the UK. Every year, more than one fifth of the 15 million people who volunteer regularly, do so in sport. That's 3.2 million people in total.

Together, we #MakeSportHappen.

Register as a volunteer here or email volunteering@mmu.ac.uk with your query.

Paid work

We offer part-time paid work to second and third years who want to work as student activators at our Active Campus sessions or league cordinators on our Campus Leagues.

These are highly sought after positions as the roles give you valuable experience in delivering sport and working in the sport sector.

Applications and interviews for these roles take place in term 2 - doing some voluntary work first is a great way to gain some experience and increase your chances of being successful.
