The unit offers high quality physiotherapy, acupuncture, shiatsu massage and sports massage treatments at competitive prices.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapists help people affected by injury, illness or disability.

There are several forms of treatment that come under the umbrella term of physiotherapy, these principally include;

  • Massage therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Electrotherapy
  • Exercises and movements 
  • Education and advice

Our skilled Physiotherapists will examine you and prescribe an individual treatment plan to address your problem. This will be discussed with you and they will ensure that you are comfortable with the treatment that is to be administered.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is one of the many and varied therapies of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Acupuncture is fast becoming recognised as a safe and reliable method of treatment and has been proven effective in a wide range of modern clinical trials.

Acupuncture can treat all kinds of condition, such as;

Sports Massage

Sports massage therapy is aimed at restoring muscle health.

It focuses on soft tissues, muscles, ligaments and tendons and works to elevate pain through massage, stretches and friction. There are several techniques performed by qualified Sports Massage Therapist; all of which are tailored to your individual needs. 

A good sports massage will:

  • Relieve muscle pain and tension
  • Improve connective tissue healing, improving muscle flexibility, which reduces and prevents injury.
  • Reduce recovery time after an injury & help rehab an injury
  • Reduce heart rate & lower blood pressure
  • Improve circulation and lymphatic flow
  • Remodel scar tissue when required
  • Assist in the removal of metabolic waste
  • Sedate or stimulate nerve endings

Shiatsu Massage

Shiatsu originated in Japan from Traditional Chinese Medicine and incorporates influences from more recent Western therapies.

Shiatsu is therapeutic bodywork, your therapist will use touch, comfortable pressure and manipulative techniques to adjust the body’s physical structure and balance its energy flow.

Shiatsu is thought to aid a variety of musculoskeletal, internal or emotional problems and may be used to help a wide range of conditions. These include;

  • Headaches
  • PMS
  • Fatigue,
  • Insomnia, 
  • Anxiety
  • Musculoskeletal pain, including low back, neck, and joint pain
