Challenge Network run the National Citizen Service scheme which takes groups of 15-17 year olds on 3 week programmes of outdoor adventure at summer camps, skills-building workshops and community development projects.
They are looking for dedicated individuals, with an interest in working with young people to strengthen their communities to help them run these programmes.
Each programme lasts 3 weeks and all positions are paid (between £1000 and £2000 per programme).
There are roles available for people at every level of experience, from those wishing to gain further experience working with young people, through to experienced Project Managers.
Positions last from 2 weeks through to 14 weeks throughout summer. Positions are available in the North West (including Manchester), the West Midlands and London.
Positions available include:
§ Leadership roles - managing a team of staff and 60 young people
§ Assistant Programme Leaders - assisting the programme leader care and develop a group of 60 young people
§ Mentors - assisting the programme leaders
§ Practitioners - delivering skills-building activities using sports, drama, photography, media/video or business enterprise
§ Support Workers - Provide 1 to 1 support to young people with additional support requirements on the programme
