Biography

Samia Hoque is a Senior Lecturer in Sustainability at Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) Business School, UK. She received her PhD in Business and Management from the Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS), University of Manchester, UK. She was appointed as a post doctorate researcher at AMBS before joining MMU. Her research focuses on Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainable supply chain management, Sustainable Innovation and Social Enterprise. She has contributed book chapters to editions of international business books and published in journals such as Accounting Auditing and Accountability, Journal of International Management, Critical Perspectives in International Business and European Journal of International Management.

Interests and expertise

My interests are in the field of social enterprise, sustainable innovation and sustainable supply chain management. 

My expertise remains in qualitative research, Nvivo and Fuzzy Set Analysis using fsQCA software.

I am currently working on the following research projects: 

In 2022, I received MMU’s Research Development Grant for studying the coping strategies of Bangladeshi third sector organisations during and after pandemic.  

In 2020, I receivedUKRI International Collaborative Fund as a Co-I to study social value creation by Bangladeshi sport organisations, which showed the potential for collaboration between private corporations, public institutions, and sport organisations in creating impactful societal outcome through sport in Bangladesh.
