Pursuing a career as a Secondary School Teacher is a rewarding vocation with diverse challenges. There is a lot of information to consider before applying, we recommend you plan at least 18 months ahead to ensure you meet our entry requirements, including pre-experience.
Advice and support is available to our applicants, students, Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) and Alumni at every stage.
We welcome the opportunity to meet you at one of our postgraduate fairs in Manchester where you will be able to attend a PGCE Secondary talk and meet some of our teaching staff.
For candidates without the minimum GCSE requirement, the Faculty provides tests in English and Mathematics for the purpose of entry to Secondary Teacher Training Programmes.
Our tests are available to eligible invited candidates to show a level of competence equivalent to Grade C at GCSE.
For more information, download the Equivalency Tests Brochure 2020.
