MA English: Literature & Modernity
PGCE Secondary English
I have worked as a secondary and sixth form English teacher for 14 years. During that time I have been a head of subject and gained considerable experience in pastoral care, child protection and safeguarding.
My most recent role was as Assistant Principal at a large sixth form college in East Manchester, which also involved leading on the college's behaviour for learning strategy, leading CPD for staff internally and externally.
As well as teaching AQA & WJEC English Literature, Language and English Combined specifications, I have been an examiner for AS & A2 English Language and Team Leader moderator for combined English Language & Literature.
I lead the PGCE Secondary English course and act as Assistant Head of Partnerships and as a Partnership Tutor for the Manchester cluster of secondary schools within the Faculty of Education's ITT Partnership.
