York is a very attractive historic city in Yorkshire. You will have the entire day to spend at your leisure exploring the city at your own pace taking in the medieval Shambles, the York Minster and perhaps learning something about the city’s Viking history! There are plenty of attractions for children to enjoy too such as the Jorvik Viking Centre or Jorvik DIG ... dig, delve and discover history hands on!
