Internal Support Services and External Expert Partners

We know that money issues are complex and understand that the challenges student’s face are unlikely to be restricted to a finance matters alone. We work across Manchester Metropolitan University with colleagues in other support services and the Student Union Advice Centre who help us to help you and to inform the work we do.

We work with external partners too, such as StandAlone, The UNITE Foundation, Manchester Leaving Care Teams and Manchester Carers Centre.

Student Finance Rules and Regulations

When assisting students we rely on our understanding and familiarity with a complex set of regulatory frameworks, which govern the provision of student finance within the UK.

To help with this we are all members of the professional body the National Association of Student Money Advisors (NASMA). NASMA has members across the UK who are recognised as a leading authority on all matters relating to student funding. We regularly liaise with our NASMA colleagues to keep up to date and better understand the money issues that may be affecting you.
