Family Fun Day – Saturday 29 February
Free activities on campus for the whole family to enjoy
Our Family Fun Day is a much-loved event in the University calendar and is a great way for you to bring your family onto campus to enjoy the Manchester Metropolitan experience.
This year’s event takes place on Saturday 29 February and there will be a host of free activities for you to enjoy, including crazy golf, a soft play area and even a planetarium!
Second-year Graphic Design student, Ella Ward, really enjoyed taking part at our last Family Fun Day and she jumped at the chance to work on this year’s event:
“It’s fantastic that the University provides opportunities for students to meet people in a similar situation to them. Taking children out for the day can sometimes be costly and with all the Family Fun Day activities being free of charge, I’m sure this will be a big help to student-parents too.
“Whilst the activities on offer are educational, the day is focused more on getting the University community together and having a great day out for the whole family. The farm was popular last year, especially as many of the children had never seen some of the animals in real life before, so I am anticipating the reptiles will be a big hit this year.
“I have enjoyed several roles through Jobs4Students, but having the opportunity to work on the event team for Family Fun Day has certainly been my favourite. I really like the flexibility on offer and being able to choose from the wide range of opportunities that are available.
“I’m still unsure what I want to do after I graduate, but opportunities like this are brilliant for building my experience and developing skills to add to my CV.”
The Family Fun Day takes place on Saturday 29 February (10:00am – 2:00pm) in the Brooks building.
