Manchester Met's Counselling and Mental Health team is available 8:45am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday on 0161 247 3493 and from room 1.03, on the first floor of the Business School. Download a campus map

The University Security Team operates all year round - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can be contacted in emergency situations by calling 0161 247 2222.

Information for family and friends

Encourage the student to use our drop-in service. This takes place Monday to Friday between 1:00pm - 2:00pm in the Counselling and Mental Health Service, room 1.03, first floor Business School (please advise the student to arrive before 1:40pm. If you are really concerned, encourage them to follow the steps above. If you need advice on what to do, call 0161 247 3493 and we will arrange for you to speak to a Counsellor.

We do understand that it can be distressing to know that someone you care about is having a difficult time. We cannot reveal information about students who use our Service because it is confidential but we will listen to your concerns and take appropriate action, including assisting you in making choices about how you might help.
