The Manchester campus is a really friendly, vibrant and fun place to be. We want to make sure that you have everything you need to travel to the campus safely, you can get to your lectures on time and you know where to find all the great facilities available to you at Manchester Met.

Building information

Our handy Manchester campus map will get you where you need to be in no time. You can also find more information about each of our buildings (including opening times) in our Building Guide and the Building Access Maps will help you get around our buildings with ease.

Student ID Cards

Don’t get barred, look after your card! Not only is your Student ID Card your proof of identity on campus, it also gives you access to the University’s fantastic facilities and services (including the Library and printing). Make sure you keep your card safe so you don’t miss out on all the action.

Food and drink

Whether you’re in the mood for a proper cup of coffee, a quick bite to eat or a freshly prepared hot meal, there’s certainly plenty of choice across campus. Make sure you check out your nearest food and drink outlets opening times and give yourself a well-earned break.

Staying safe

Being at university in a large city is great fun, but it’s important to make sure you stay safe whilst you’re exploring. Our Student Safety Guide has lots of useful tips for getting around the city safely and keeping your property secure!

Manchester Met’s friendly Security team are also available 24/7 (all year round) and are always happy to help if you need some support on campus.

With great public transport links, getting to and from the Manchester campus is easy, affordable and accessible. Check out our student travel page to find out more about your travel options and for some top tips to help you with your commute.

Whether you choose to stay on or off campus, there’s plenty of support available to help you find somewhere to call home.

Residential Advisors are a peer support team who live in student accommodation and their role is to help you settle in and answer any questions you have about university life. They also hold regular events, giving you lots of opportunities to meet other students and have a great time!

If you have chosen to live off-campus, make sure you get in touch with Manchester Student Homes, who are on hand to help you find University-approved accommodation, provide free, independent housing advice and support you with your queries whilst living off-campus.

Manchester Met is committed to reducing our environmental impact and we are proud to be an award winning University for sustainability. Our Environment team offers lots of exciting initiatives for you to get involved and help you live and work more sustainably.
