Hollie Marsh

Hollie is a digital marketing degree apprentice studying at Manchester Metropolitan University whilst working with an award-winning digital marketing agency Aqueous Digital. Hollie applied for an apprenticeship as she felt the combination of learning and gaining real life experience would be much more beneficial and set her aside from those with just a degree.

“I chose to study a Digital Marketer Degree Apprenticeship as I wanted to gain practical experience whilst studying, the combination of both on and off the job learning is a great alternative to full-time education.”

Hollie works as a digital marketing assistant at Aqueous Digital, and attends lectures in Manchester once a week. She works on search engine optimisation for a number of clients, which involves looking after their websites and helping them get to the top of the google search. Hollie is excelling in her role and since starting in September, has started taking on additional responsibilities as she gains more confidence and experience.

“Working at Aqueous has helped me to build my confidence as I am working among colleagues that support and encourage me. Gaining real life experience of working in the industry has equipped me with the relevant skills, knowledge, and tools so that I can kickstart my career. It has opened me up to a range of new opportunities, people, and experiences.

“The small class sizes mean you receive a much more intimate and tailored learning experience. The lecturers can support your individual needs and get to know you as a person rather than just a student number. If anyone is considering a degree apprenticeship, I would definitely recommend applying!”
