My confidence in getting a result out of difficult situations soared, as a result, I’d like to think of myself as an integral, balanced, member of the management team.

After completing the Degree Apprenticeship, I would like to progress my career within McDonald’s and apply the learnings I have taken from the degree.

The apprenticeship allows me to work, learn and earn while developing new skills and a qualification desired by Amazon, which should increase my earning potential and development into senior role.

Thanks to being on my degree apprenticeship, I have been promoted to a high level of management within my restaurant.

The degree apprenticeship is instrumental in connecting us to our peers across the organisation and gives us the opportunity to share ideas and practice.

A Degree Apprenticeship is much more than just a degree and work experience, it has developed me into someone I didn’t think I could be.

The course has enabled me to see the business from a new perspective with a greater understanding of the systems and processes that are set up to bring success, which has given me more confidence in my role.

My work on the ‘Workington Skills Fair’ has been fundamental in growing my confidence as a future manager, allowing me freedoms to make choices on instinct, but also be supported by a team who each have their own area of expertise and wisdom to offer.

I would definitely recommend the Degree Apprenticeship programme, especially if you have a lot of initiative and are a self-starter.

For anyone who is currently employed and in a similar situation to myself with regards to approaching their company about this opportunity, I’d say go for it! It may seem a daunting prospect but it may open up a fantastic opportunity to be pursued.

The experience I gained was absolutely life-changing from day one. The content was perfect for what I was doing. Every business works in different ways, but the foundations of business and management are the same. It’s just opening your eyes to new ways of delivering that experience with different theory and applying that to your own situation.

The knowledge gained from this course strengthens my confidence when applying it in the workplace as it is relevant and informative.
