Our facilities are fantastic for supporting teacher training. We have everything you may need on your Postgraduate Certificate in Education journey at Manchester Met in our purpose-built Brooks building. There are classrooms, studios and labs that have been designed specifically for your chosen specialism.

By training in an environment reflective of where you’ll work, you’ll gain the skills to lead a class. Practising classroom scenarios early in the course helps build your confidence ahead of your first placement.

Our six-floor, 24-hour library offers a complete multi-media learning environment. You’ll have unlimited access to more than a million books, journals and eBooks, as well as hundreds of computers, study zones and work areas. A dedicated team are always on hand to offer expert guidance and research support whenever you need it.

We have over 20 subject specialisms and you’ll benefit from purpose-built classrooms. You’ll learn in an environment that mirrors where you’ll work. With science labs, art and drama studios, music rooms and much more, we make sure you’re fully prepared for the road ahead as a teacher.

The Virtual Reality Cave will help you to discover how technology can be used to bring learning to life in a modern classroom. You’ll have full access to professional standard technology to support your studies through our free equipment loan service and technical suites on campus.

The Tools to Learn

Brooks Building has a variety of study spaces to support your learning, including our dedicated student resource centre which is home to computers, learning materials, stationery, and arts and crafts supplies. These resources can be freely used to support with your research, lesson planning and portfolio development.
