Applicant Visit Days

Applicant Visit Days are exclusively for students who have been made an offer to study at Manchester Met. Each subject has a tailor-made programme. These typically take place between February and May. If you are eligible to attend, you should receive an invite by email approximately one week after receiving your offer.

On a typical Applicant Visit Day, you can:

  • Join an interactive session with a tutor and your future classmates.
  • Take a tour of our student accommodation.
  • Ask our team questions on a range of topics, from your student finance application, careers, and work placements, to societies and clubs you can join.
  • Chat with our current students who can tell you all about their studies and student life at Manchester Met.

The day is designed to give you a taste of what studying at Manchester Met will be like. You can download your full programme once you’ve booked your place.

You are more than welcome to attend with your parent/guardian. Some sessions may be for applicants only due to capacity.

Student Life

As well as getting to know the ins and outs of your subject, for most dates, there will also be a ‘Student Life’ part of the day where you can explore the following:

  • Student accommodation and private student housing
  • The application process and your offer
  • Careers, volunteering and part-time jobs
  • Studying abroad and exchange programmes
  • Sports facilities and clubs you can join
  • Finance, including loans and bursaries you may be able to access
  • Our Student Support Services: the one-to-one advice, support and counselling available to Manchester Met students
  • Students’ Union and social activities
