Manchester School of Architecture ranked in world’s top 10 for the third year running

QS subject league table once again rate the school among the best

Manchester School of Architecture (MSA) features in the top ten of the world’s best in the QS Subject Rankings 2018 for its third consecutive year.

The MSA, an innovative collaboration between Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Manchester, is ranked 7th in the world, and 2nd in the UK for graduate employability.

The prestigious rankings highlight 200 of the world’s top-performing universities in each academic area and includes 42 different countries from across the globe.

They are based upon academic and employer education and research impact, and is compiled annually to help prospective students identify the leading universities in a particular subject.

The MSA offers a range of professionally recognised undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and has been continuously in the top 10 in the QS Subject Rankings since entering in 2016.

100 years of educational experience

The MSA unites two schools of architecture with more than 100 years of educational experience to create one of the largest architecture schools in the UK.

The school has many varied research areas, which it has gained a reputation for, with particular interest in ecological and landscape design, the conservation and management of historic environments and urban design and development.

The collaboration between the two universities means the MSA provides the most experienced researchers and unique opportunities for architectural research. 

Students in both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes engage in live design research projects and have been praised by the Architects Registration Board and the Royal Institute for British Architects for the quality and achievements of their work.
