Manchester Metropolitan in 'World University Ranking'

Among the top 3% of universities globally

MANCHESTER Metropolitan University is once again listed among the best universities internationally in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings.

The University ranked 64th in the UK and was listed in the 601-800 category. Manchester Metropolitan remains among the top 3% of universities globally.

The respected THE rankings are released every year and produce an overall score for institutions after being rated on various performance indicators including teaching, research, international outlook and reputation.

Ambition

Vice-Chancellor Professor Malcolm Press said: “We are pleased that we have shown improvements in a number of areas and remain in the top 3% of universities globally. But we have more work to do.

“We are an ambitious, exciting and inspiring university in a great global city. We are determined to take a leading role in shaping the future of higher education and build on the foundations we have already laid to ensure our research and teaching has relevance and impact in the real world.”

Earlier in the year, the University saw a rise of 16 places in the Complete University Guide rankings and 17 places in Guardian University Guide.
