Interests and expertise

My personal interests mainly revolve around craft beer and movies. I am Secretary and Director of a community cinema group in Marsden West Yorkshire. We bring international, independent, and cult films to our community venues (including a brewery tap room) to celebrate diverse, challenging, and engaging cinema experiences.

I have also written extensively on the culture and creativity around the craft beer movement and can frequently be seen Instagramming craft beer can art.

Words of wisdom

“The teacher is of course an artist, but being an artist does not mean that he or she can make the profile, can shape the students. What an educator does in teaching is to make it possible for the students to become themselves” - Paolo Friere
