Biography

James is an Enterprise Fellow and joined the Centre for Enterprise in May 2018 when he was appointed as the Project Manager for the Cheshire and Warrington Business Growth Programme, which supported a range of business start-up, early inception businesses, and more established businesses across the Cheshire and Warrington region.

James lead on the delivery for the end of phase 1 of the programme and successfully engaged with over 300 business start-up and SME’s within the region. This is a consortium programme with the University of Chester and Reaseheath College. 

In January 2019 the consortium were successful in applying for a second phase of the Business Growth Programme which will now run until December 2021. The programme will engage with a further 200 entrepreneurs across the region and support the growth of both jobs and new products. 

James has teaching and learning experience, programme design and development, business support, project management and delivery, within a higher education context. He has specialised in working with community-based enterprise programmes with a focus on young people at risk of offending. 

James also supports the delivery of the CMDA programme working with apprentices from the NHS to have a stronger understanding of Project Management tools and methodologies. 

Projects

Currently managing the ERDF funded Cheshire and Warrington Business Programme in consortium with the University of Chester and Reaseheath College. 

The project aims are to grow the SME sector in Cheshire and Warrington. We achieve this through delivery of one to many workshops that enable the entrepreneurs to build scalable systems in their businesses. 

We also facilitate 1:1 mentoring, expert-led events, networking and coaching.
