Biography

Lisa works as a Grants Officer within the Business and Public Engagement team and is currently working on the Government funded Help to Grow Management programme which supports senior managers of small and medium sized businesses to boost their business’s performance, resilience, and long-term growth.

The 12-week programme is designed to be taken alongside full-time work through a combination of online sessions and face-to-face learning. The cost to attend is also 90% funded by the Government.

Previous to this, Lisa worked on various  ERDF part funded  programmes, including the Cheshire and Warrington Business Growth programme and both the AI and Cyber Foundry projects, which equipped companies with the knowledge, tools and techniques needed to empower them on their next steps to business expansion and growth.

She also  worked on the highly successful Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Phase 1 programme, which aimed to unlock the economic and growth potential of small businesses in the North West. She took responsibility for the recruitment process and managed all of the day-to-day aspects. This ensured the smooth running and that all participants were able to access and maximise full benefit from the programme.

Lisa also provides support with many of the other short courses run by BPE, and acts as a first point of contact, to assist with any query delegates may have.

Before coming to work at MMU Lisa worked as an Education and Training Programmes Administrator at The Manufacturing Institute, where she was involved in the overseeing of several different training programmes
