Biography
I qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ACCA) in 2018. My industry experience as a management accountant spans 5+ years, gained management accounting skills in areas of cost accounting, and preparing internal financial reports, and managed accounting activities at the Compass Group from 2009 to 2011.
I developed my experience as an accountant in tax, VAT, Book Keeping and, Payroll y working for HS Accountants from 2011 to 2012.
I obtained a teaching qualification from the University of Bolton in 2010, and started to develop skills to pursue a teaching career. I continued to develop my teaching over the last 10 years, initially gaining a PGDE whilst practicing accounting, I officially started teaching at Kinnard College in Manchester, then taught at LSBF, Wigan and Leigh College, PACT, and Tameside College before joining MMU in 2018. I has been involved in teaching ACCA, AAT, HND, and CMI programmes, covering levels 4-7. I also have a fellowship in Higher Education.
I joined Manchester Metropolitan University in 2018, and continue to develop my portfolio. Being a lecturer, I provide innovative and current pedagogy on several units, as well as being a personal tutoring.
Interests and expertise
I have a passion for employability and improving these skills in our students to improve graduate outcomes and student experience.
