Biography

Dr Mahmoud Abdelrahman is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) of Business Analytics. He completed his PhD in “Knowledge Sharing by Using Knowledge Management Systems to Support Decision-Making Processes in Multinational Corporations” and his MSc. in “Information Systems, Organisations and Management” at Alliance Manchester Business School, The University of Manchester. Dr Mahmoud has more than twenty years of academic and consultation experiences including teaching, research, business consultation, designing new programmes and leadership positions at different universities (The University of Manchester, London Royal Holloway University, Newcastle Business School, Northumbria University, Heilbronn University, American University in Cairo and Zagazig University).

Dr Mahmoud has published several journal papers, book chapters and conference publications, as he has been involved in different international research projects, supervising and examining several PhD, DBA, MBA, MSc and UG projects. Moreover, he has engaged in teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, executive managerial training, consultation and leading advanced practice programmes at different universities around the world in the UK, Germany, and the Middle East. Dr Mahmoud is a visiting academic and an external examiner at different universities in the UK, EU, and the Middle East. He is also a reviewer at different highly ranked journals, a member of the Association of Information Systems, the Academy of Management and a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy. 

Dr Mahmoud has used different Mixed-Methods in his research including both quantitative & qualitative data collection and analytical tools in addition to structural equation modelling techniques, as he has created different reflective/conceptual business models and frameworks for different international business cases. His research focuses on “User’s Acceptance views of New Technologies”, “Knowledge Management Systems Applications”, “Digital Transformation”, “Decision Support Systems”, and “Business Analytics” and their applications in different business sectors around the world.
