Biography
Prior to joining MMU, I have been a Lecturer in Management at the University of Exeter. I teach and support Marketing and HR-related subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
As a researcher, I am interested in knowing how creativity, as a trainable facet, can be initiated and increased under favourable conditions, such as human resource development (HRD) interventions. I apply the methods of academia-practitioner collaboration, Mode 2 research, and mixed methods research designs. In the past, I organised and delivered HRD interventions in four hospitality-sector organisations in Northern Ireland. The findings showed the capacity of such interventions to increase self-awareness of creativity and lead to creativity-associated behaviours. They can also increase motivation to do creative work.
