In terms of qualifications, I achieved a First-Class Honours degree in Psychology, MSc in Health Psychology (Distinction), and a PhD in Health Psychology. I am also a Chartered Psychologist, Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, and a member of the BPS Divisions of Health Psychology, and Occupational Psychology. Furthermore, I have completed BPS accredited professional qualifications as an Occupational Test User (formerly Level A and Level B), and I am listed in The Register of Qualifications in Test Use. Educational awards include a PGCLTHE and Fellowship of Advance HE.

Interests and expertise

My principal research interests relate to individual differences and health, particularly in relation to contexts including the workplace and education. I furthermore have an active interest in the development and evaluation of psychological measures, psychometrics, and statistical modelling. This strand of research has resulted in the assessment of a series of psychological scales using advanced analytic techniques. My research also focuses on wellbeing, stress, applied cognitive psychology and psychopathology.

Findings from a collaborative study (Papageorgiou, Malanchini, Denovan, Clough, Shakeshaft, Schofield, & Kovas, 2018) attracted approximately 300 pieces of coverage (online, paper, pre-recorded and live radio interviews) and it was the 5th top story on the BBC’s main website having achieved more than a million readers. Live interviews included an interview on BBC World Service radio.
