Manchester Metropolitan University Clearing

Clearing at Manchester Met

Check out the tips from our admissions tutors – the academics deciding who to offer a place to. You’ll find advice about choosing your ideal course, preparing for Clearing and how to make a good impression. And you can follow the stories of our students who’ve been through Clearing.

You can also start to get a feel for campus life, and look at the available accommodation.

Take some of the pressure off by getting started now. You don’t need to wait for A-level results day when thousands of students contact the universities offering places.

If you already have your results, you can apply now before Clearing. Go to advice for applying after the UCAS deadline.

Using Clearing

You can use Clearing to apply to study if you:

  • want to change your chosen course
  • didn’t meet the conditions of your offers
  • have not received any offers
  • have not yet applied to university

You’ll need your A-level results. You cannot use Clearing if you already hold an offer from a university. You’ll need to decline your firm offer before you can apply. However, we recommend that you secure a verbal offer before you formally decline your place.
