Study Skills Workshops - The Key to Your Assessment Success

Are you lacking confidence in your presentation skills? Struggling to manage your time during your assessments? Or want a refresher on how to nail an exam. If this sounds like you, then you’ll want to check out our Study Skills workshops. 

The workshops take place online and on-campus, and you can earn 5 Rise points for every one you attend. But more than that, these sessions help you build confidence in your skills, so that you can ace your assignments. 

Support comes in many different forms, so take the time to try out something new and see what works for you! Below are some upcoming workshops that you might want to get involved in, which will help you prepare for your assessments. 

6 Study Skills workshops to help you with Assessment season 

Introduction to Academic Integrity 

This workshop is a great (re)introduction for all students. As you head into your assessments, why not brush up on the best practices to ensure that your work shines in its own merit.

Preparing for Numerical Reasoning Assessments 

Been asked to submit a numerical reasoning assessment? Don’t panic, even if you’re not a maths whizz, this session covers everything you will be expected to know in order to best these tests!

Effective Presentations 

Face your fears and take on your presentations with confidence! Get tips around planning, design, and delivery – as well as a practise presentation to put your knowledge in action.

Effective Revision for Maths and Stats Exams 

Studying maths and stats? Not sure where to start with your revision? Jump into this session to learn effective strategies from a qualified study skills teacher.

Shaping Seen Paper Responses 

If you’re sitting a seen paper exam, knowing how to prepare is key! Get first class guidance about the structure of the assessment and how to manage your time effectively.

Mastering Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) Exams 

Revising for an MCQ exam? Looking for some assessment tips and tricks? This workshop covers everything you need to know, so you can go into your exam with confidence.
