Manchester Metropolitan University is proud of its diverse community of staff, students and visitors. As sector leaders in equality, diversity and inclusion (ED&I), it is vital to us that this is reflected in everything we do.

In order to support the University’s strategic response to the global pandemic, ISDS is leading the Digital Education aspect of the Academic Delivery 2020/21 project. The Digital Education (DE) project builds on the technologies and ways of working established for the University’s response to lockdown and aims to address particular challenges of starting a new academic year under the current circumstances.

We envisage that digital technology will play a key role in enabling our teaching to be more accessible. By harnessing new technology, we hope to improve inclusivity. We also appreciate that not everyone will have the infrastructure to access DE and are committed to supporting students and staff to overcome any barriers, so they can study and work.
