Technical services

Technical Services offer specialist advice and support in areas relating to project organisation which incorporates resource planning and management, specification and installation of specialist hardware and software, implementation of data and application servers.

A query desk operates during the daytime to answer questions, offer advice, administer a loans system and hand out consumable items on request for student and other work. This is based on the second floor of John Dalton Central, room C2.08a.

Practical advice and support is given in respect of specialist hardware and software as they relate in particular to computing and maths advanced applications and a range of sophisticated scientific equipment based in research and teaching laboratories/workshops throughout the Faculty.
