We offer successful undergraduate programmes in Biology, Chemistry, Geography and Environment disciplines and a flourishing suite of MSc programmes in Conservation Biology and Behaviour and Environmental Management and Sustainable Development.
We co-deliver UNIGIS UK, a leading provider of online distance learning education in GIS. We have a vibrant community of postgraduate research students and offer a range of professional development opportunities in Biological Recording, Sustainable Aviation and Geography of Health.
We enable our students through excellent teaching and support and have strong links with professional bodies including the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management, the Institution of Environmental Sciences, the Institute of Place Management and the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC). Our chemists have been awarded the RSC Higher Education Teaching Award and national student prizes including Chemicals Northwest Best Young Achiever 2015. Our geographers have been awarded the Society of Location Analysis Silver Award and have been successful in the Posters in Parliament initiative, supported by HEFCE.
